But how does it compare in height to other household items? The internet has asked this question many times. The Xbox Series X’s monolithic shape and height has been compared to a fridge, a toaster, a rocket launcher, and many other things. Yet, with the arrival of The Mandalorian season 2 tomorrow, it’s clear there’s still one thing missing. How does the Xbox Series X compare in size to little Baby Yoda? I endeavored to find out. Disney was nice enough to send along a special The Mandalorian season 2 watchalong box with all kinds of cool Mando swag, including a Baby Yoda-themed baseball cap and a very nice t-shirt. But the absolute show-stopper was a stuffed Baby Yoda doll that’s now on display next to the Xbox Series X that Microsoft sent me for review earlier this week. For the sake of science, I decided to take a photo to see how my adorable Baby Yoda compared in size to Microsoft’s next-gen console. The results are now in: Interestingly enough, were we in the galaxy far, far away, the result would be very different. According to Wookieepedia, Baby Yoda is actually 16.5 inches tall, meaning that, if he were the real deal or maybe even the puppet Lucasfilm uses on set, he would absolutely tower over the next-gen console menace (although the PS5 still isn’t far off). Clearly, I’ve thought way too hard about this, but at least now you have an answer, dear reader, whether you wanted one or not.
